You can still enjoy a lot of good and tasty food even when you are diabetic. As long as you stay away from foods that can spike up your glucose level then you are fine. Never skip meals. Just because you are in a diet, does not mean that skipping meals is okay. It is never okay because this can cause your blood sugar to rise. Always eat your meals on time. Make sure you evenly spaced out your meals to allow your body to metabolize your food intake efficiently.
Exercise regularly. Having diabetes is not an excuse of not engaging yourself to physical activities. It is even recommended by dietitian to include exercise in your diet. Just start first with low- impact exercises as not to stresses out and physically drain yourself. Spare 20 to 30 minutes of brisk walking or jogging three times a week. Ask your doctor for more types of exercise you can do.
Drink plenty of water especially when you are doing a lot of activities. Dehydration can trigger your blood sugar level to rise. Avoid sweet beverages and soft drinks.
